Invest in Hungary ? Why not !

Hungary is a small country, situated in the middle of the continent in Central Europe. Hungarians speak a language and form a culture unlike any other in the region: this distinctiveness has been both a source of pride and an obstacle for more than 1100 years. This is the country, which boasts one of the world's most beautiful cities: Budapest, the "Pearl of the Danube".Also 2000 year old Roman ruins and 400 year old Turkish monuments can be found side by side there. Hungary is the country where Central Europe's largest fresh water lake - Balaton - is located, providing natural paradise for its visitors and where hundreds of therapeutic mineral springs gush up from the depths.

So much for the country itself. Hungary is also a great place to make business. The greatest advantage that this country could offer in regards to business is the government’s strong commitment to easing business processing. Both refundable and non refundable incentives are available to investors coming to or expanding in Hungary. The main types of incentives related to investment are cash subsides either from the Hungarian government or from EU funds, tax incentives, low interest loans or land available fee or at reduced price.  All seven regions of Hungary are qualified for incentives, and aid intensity varies between 10% and 50% for large corporations, while small and medium corporations can receive up to 70%.

Twilight?

How many times have you read Twilight?
If you think young people don’t read any more, you are mistaking. They are actually reading so much that some of them are becoming addicted to it. See for yourself, go to google and type “How to be”. The first google suggestion that appears is “How to become a vampire”.  “What does that mean?” you are asking yourself. Google suggestion works this way - As you type, Google's algorithm predicts and displays search queries based on other users' search activities and the contents of web pages indexed by Google. Simply said, people were googleing it.
“But why would people want to know how to become vampires?” will be your next question. Have you heard of The Twilight Saga? I will be surprised if you have not. It is a book about a teenage girl who falls in love with a vampire. It is not a brand new idea, yet it captures the attention of thousands of teenagers all around the world. Yes, it gets them to read, but not only. Girls of different ages, different countries and different religions become obsessed with the book up to a point in which they want to turn their boyfriends into vampires. You can google this one too!
In 2006, a year after the book came out I decided to read it, because all my friends were talking about it. It was a nice romantic story which I really liked, but I could not picture myself rereading it again and again as some of my friends did. My sister admitted she was obsessed with it:
“Teenagers all over the world are obsessed with it, including me. I have a lot of friends who are actually addicted to Twilight. They reread their favorite parts every day.”
The romance in the book is attractive to the girls and through reading they relive one different reality and secretly imagine that it is happening to them. Books have always been a way to escape from reality, but as every other habit if consumed in big doses they might have a reflection on the life of the person. Obsession to books is not something unfamiliar. De Cervantes knew about it 400 years ago. Remember Don Quixote? We see something similar today. Don Quixote in the famous novel was fighting the windmills and trying to find justice. Well, nowadays readers don’t set such big goals in front of them. Their only wish is to be vampires.

Time for a change !

We all have some foibles as well as ugly and unhealthy habits that we would like to change about ourselves. However there are not always a lot of people who actually prevail over their enfeeblements. What is more at least 50 % of the latter have made such alteration due to the fact that they have had a life-threatening and stressful experience that has made them realise what the are actually doing .However there are also alot of other ways to persuade oneself to change for the better .
It is certain that a change must require many efforts .The Bulgarian poet Ivan Vasov has once written "...in order to appear a moral change not only is it needed a devotion to great work but also a whole community to rise and support the alteration."Often an inspiration for a change people might get from such poetic renown figures in our history and their wise words .For example a famous Bulgarian literary work is "Istoriq slavqnobulgarskaq ",written by Paisii Hilendarski at a time when the Bulgarian people were at the edge of loosing their culture as well as history due to the Turkish tyranny we were under .And it is that exact work of art that reminded my people what Bulgaria was motivating them that in order to return to those glorious days of great power and fortunes a change must be made .And many say that we got our freedom because of "istoriq slavqnosblgarskaq", read from family to family ,aspiring thousands of Bulgarians to seek a change and crave for independence.
We have all tried to change at some point of our lives ,however when trying to fight the old habits we forget that we should be actually craving for the new beginning .What is more a person is always more prone to modify oneself when posing a goal for a new start rather than trying to be consistent in forgetting an old wont.Socrates has also once said "The secret to change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but building the new ."
To sum up people should keep in mind that changing can often be achieved in other ways apart from a bad stroking experince You should just find that little message ,story or picture that will make you want a new begining , a change for the better

Mutual Climax ad by Durex

The commercial brings our attention to two record players, each of which is playing a record- one in pink with the sign of a female and one in blue with the male sign.  Do you recall what I'm referring to? The “female” record is playing slower and the male one-faster. Someone sets the records right and they start playing together a beautiful and sexual song at the same paste. At the end of the commercial we see a box of Durex’s new product – “Durex Performax intense mutual climax.”

The ad offers benefits to society, because it promotes safe sex, by using the product. In that sense it could be considered prosocial advertising. What is even more, it might be beneficial to the thinking of people in general, because it promotes to both men and women the idea that women should as well feel satisfaction from sex and men should not enjoy themselves only, in contrast to many commercial that present women as sex objects.

The ad does not create artificial needs, since people actually have a need for condoms to have protected sex. It might be stereotypical from the point of view that it represents women as not able to experience orgasm as fast as men; however this is a common truth that has a biological explanation, so it cannot be considerate offensive to women.  What might be a “dark side” is that the ad promises a better sexual experience and this might lead to the false perception and wrong expectations (as sexual satisfaction does not depend on the shape of the condom only.)

I think this ad is very effective, because it is creative and attention grabbing. In my opinion it targets people, who are not using condoms so much, through the idea that they will have better sex if they use this product in particular. The whole concept of the ad is a metaphor and people understand the message at the end, so it is not a predictable commercial.  One of the best things about this ad is that even though it is directly linked to sex, it does not show nude scenes or images that could be vulgar, provocative or sexy, so it is appropriate for TV, regarding the fact that young children will be watching. Since it will be hard for them to understand the message censorship could be avoided.

Playing games teaches us about life

Game resembles life a lot – there is an aim you try to reach, there often are rules you have to obey, sometimes you win the game, other times you do not. One thing is sure – games really teach us about life – we get used to following certain rules, which is unavoidable in life, as well as we become aware of the fact that you are going to lose the game sometimes , but this does not mean you do not know how to play.

To begin with, we all want to live our life the way we decide to. However, just like games, life has some rules . They , of course, are not mandatory , but for those who want to succeed and reach all the goals they have set, it seems like the rules are actually compulsory. If we grow up being used to do whatever we want to , despite what the right thing is , it would definitely not be easy for us to adjust to a surrounding where rules have to be obeyed – our future work place for example. However, supposing we have played games during our childhood, rules will be something not so hard to comply with. What is more, while following certain rules in games, we learn to take them seriously and whenever there is a place , different from childish games, that has some rules and regulations set, we are not going to be ignorant, but on the contrary – we will try to strictly follow them.

Moreover, seldom have I heard of someone that is good at every activity and every game. You can be good , for example, at mind games , but not at those you have to be physically strong for . Having realized what you are capable of, you are aware of the fact that certain games are not applicable to you and you are most probably going to lose. Life is the same – you can not always win, there are going to be certain areas you are not so good at, you do not do your best and consequently the results are nowhere near as good as you wish they were. Playing games teaches us that not being capable of doing everything and not knowing how to handle everything is something natural. Furthermore, when we are little and lose a game, we are extremely frustrated but learn how to overcome our anger and continue playing. This is a quality extremely valued when you are a grown up person and things turn out to be different than you expected, you lose something you aimed for and you have to accept it. This is the time when learning how to lose in games plays a crucial role.
All in all, there are a lot of common features between life and a game. Having played games during our childhood prepares us for confronting life - it enables us to become used to obeying rules as well as accept that we are human beings and we have to be aware that losing is a part of the game called life.

If you could ask a famous person one question , what would you ask?

Obtaining the opportunity to talk to a famous person and ask him whatever I want is basically once in a lifetime chance. If I am fortunate enough to get this chance , I would ask the celebrity if fame makes the relationships with their family more complex firstly because it is an issue concerning every person and secondly because no matter what the answer is, it will make me value my family relationships even more.

To begin with, humans are social creatures and they are not able to live alone. Bearing this simple fact in mind, I can state that family and personal relationships with relatives are the most valuable part of our life. As fame is really subtle as well as crucial , I suppose it is really hard for a famous person to keep their family relationships well and preserve them untouched by gossips or curious fans. However , no matter whether a celebrity or an office worker, it is still hard always to get on well with your family because there are numerous factors like stress, exhaustion and anxiety that may contribute to certain misunderstandings with our closest people. This is why an answer of a famous person will be such an interest for me - I would like to know whether the problems that occur in their family are specific or the 'fights' come up out of the blue , often caused by minor insignificant problems like doing the washing up or forgetting a relative's birthday.
Moreover, as there are periods in my life when I prefer being left alone rather than talking to my family or having dinner with them. The primary reason is that I also have my own problems and issues that bother me so much that neither do I want to share them with relatives , nor I want to speak to my family at all. In my opinion, even if the star I am talking to states that there are numerous discrepancies between them and their family or informs me about how perfectly they get on with their family, it will be a lesson for me. Regarding the first case, I think I will learn how to appreciate my family more and how not to let petty reasons ruin the relationship I have with them . Concerning the second one,if I hear that despite all problems fame brings along everything is perfect , I will be motivated to always behave well and endeavour to retain the happiness and the atmosphere in my family.
All in all, seldom have I heard of a person that is not curious to know more about a star's private life. If I get the chance to ask a celebrity one question and receive a frank answer back , it would concern the relationships in their family as it is an issue prevalently thought of and it would serve me as a lesson and encouragement to value and love my family even more.

The art of advertising

Do you have any idea how many marketing messages you see on a daily basis? Yankelvich Research has found out that the average number of ads we see every day range from 3,000 to 20,000. Persuasive messages are everywhere we turn and most of the time we don’t even realize we are being targeted by marketers. Even though they are following us everywhere we go, colourful posters and dynamic commercials do not grab the average adult attention, as much as it does children’s. Through the years people have learned to ignore messages, due to the huge amounts of information we are receiving daily from different sources. Therefore, a successful campaign would be one that does not only grab viewers’ attention, but engages the individual on multiple levels. Sending the right message to the right person, in order to satisfy their personal needs and desires mixed with emotional appeals and entertaining factors are just few of the characteristics of a successful advertising campaign. A good campaign doesn’t just offer the right product to the right consumer. It gets them emotionally stimulated to buy or at least investigate the advertised product or service.

Do you have an entrepreneur personality?

According to researcher Sophia Chou, an organizational psychologist at National Taiwan University, there is a common trend among successful entrepreneurs. Most of them are “realistic optimist.”

Even though many people assume that optimists have a wrong perception of reality and live in their own world where trouble and harm do not exist, the truth is that realistic optimists are out there. In contrast to idealistic optimist, who chooses to ignore negative aspiration, realistics have the ability to look at the bright side of the situation, but still accept hard facts and challenges. They see the glass half full, but possess a pragmatic thinking which creates the perfect personality type for managing a small business.
“Realistic optimists tend to choose accuracy over self-enhancement; the unrealistic optimists tend to choose self-enhancement,” Chou explains in the U.K.’s Daily Mail.

One of the main differences between realistic optimists and other personality types is that they do not feel demotivated by failure. “Every time [realistic optimists] face an issue or a challenge or a problem, they will be creative. They will have a plan A, plan B, and plan C,” Sophia Chou says. Flexibility, determination, and a belief that they’ll find a way to succeed are key characteristics of a successful entrepreneur and if possessed, regardless of the personality type, they will lead to positive outcomes!

Hot trends in the corporate world

It is important to stay updated on the "hottest" news in the business world, in order to be competitive and able to feel the tone of the atmosphere. Two UK banks suffered through a lot of changes recently, some in positive, others in negative directions. Even though they are situated on the island, their current situation might reflect the whole world.

Clydesdale and Yorkshire banks are closing 28 branches over the next months, due to improvement of their services. A £25m investment is planned for improvements of the branch network and another £20m in mobile banking services. According to the chief executives, the changes are needed as a response of the demands and needs of customers. The closure will save the bank £5m.

Meanwhile, Lloyds Banking Group is being returned to the private sector. Another 7.5% of Lloyds is being sold to investors, after selling 6% of the bank last year, as a long-term plan to return it to the private sector. In a statement, the Treasury said its objectives for its shareholdings in banks were "getting the best value for the taxpayer, maximizing support for the economy and restoring private ownership. The government will only conclude a sale if these objectives are met.” Last year 6% sale raised £3.2bn and the latest share sale is expected to be worth £4.2bn. UK Financial Investments (UKFI), the body responsible for the government's stakes is expected to sell more shares later this year, not only to institutional investors, but to private retail investors as well.

The 7 hills of Plovdiv

“Ancient and eternal” is the motto of Plovdiv. The city was established 4000 years BC, which makes it one of the oldest cities in Europe. Throughout its history the city had many names. First it was called Evmopolias, which is an ancient Tracian name that was changed to Philipopolis in the 3rd century by Philip II of Macedonia. Other names of the city were Pulpodeva , Odrisa and Trimontsium.
Moreover, Plovdiv is also known for its emblematic seven hills. People have always asked the question how exactly those hills formatted on the flat plane where the city is located. Many believe that they were build by Alexander the Great of Macedonia in order to hide his treasures. Others suggest alien intervention. There are many different opinions on that topic, but nobody actually knows how the hills appeared. However, one thing is for sure: they are wonderful. Each of those hills has its own spirit and beauty and contributes to the pleasant atmosphere of the city. Ancient Greeks used to build temples on the top of every hill. There are still ruins from some of them. There are also many caves and paths, which make visitors, feel as if they are in the wild nature, when they are actually in the center of the city. Some scholars believe that there is a secret tunnel in one of the hills and centuries ago Apostle Paul found his safe way out of the city through it.

Which one would you invest in, a house or a business?

Money gives power, and power brings confidence. Many people ask themselves what they would do with money. Given the opportunity to decide between an investment in a house or in a business, I would most honestly choose the business, not only because there is a great possibility that the investment could be profitable, but also because starting a business on your own is a lifetime chance and a great challenge.

First of all, when making an investment of money, people should ask themselves, whether the money will ever come back. Investing into a house would be a decision, which would provide great satisfaction, but it will not be profitable. Having a business of your own has many advantages, one of which is that if successful, it will bring more money and only then investing into something else would be reasonable. For example if your business goes well you will become rich, or at least double the investment you have made, then you will be able to buy a house, a car, a villa,  whatever you like!

It is also true, that having a business is not only a job that could bring a lot of money, but it is also an exciting experience. In your own business you are your own boss and do not have to obey to someone else, work for someone else, or pay for someone else’s mistakes. The power is yours, but with great power come great responsibilities, and being responsible is just a little part of the challenge!

Money rule the world, so using them properly is of great importance. Investing into a business is a life changing decision that could bring a lot of joy and happiness and if I had the money and the opportunity to invest, I would undoubtedly choose business, without any hesitation or any regrets.

Another Media Issue

We live in a modern world with fast developing technologies and various sources of media that play a big role in our society. When talking about the media, one should be aware of its basic purposes. The most important purpose of the media is to inform people, so that they could be aware of various social problems and be socially responsible and reasonable. On the other hand the media might have the purpose to entertain, educate or socialize. People receive tons of information on a daily basis from different sources like television, radio or the social media. All the information is absorbed on both conscious and subconscious level. There is however a question that has been bothering peoples’ minds for a while now: is there a manipulative side of the media and are the consequences of the constant exposure to information only positive for the society and people as individuals? This research paper will concentrate on some of the negative impacts modern media could have on children and teenagers.

Nowadays children and teenagers differ greatly than children and teenagers 10 years ago. This is due to the fact that technologies are increasing with incredible speed and this affects young people most, as this shapes their whole lifestyle. It is amazing how children nowadays react to new technologies, in many situations they are more technology friendly than their parents. This is due to the fact that children learn faster and they are more adaptable. They are growing up in this technological world and from an early age they are developing skills that match this world. Here, however comes the reasonable question should parents try to somehow control the exposure of children to technologies and media? "For parents trying to raise kids and give them the technology to be successful, yet also protect them, there's a sense that no one's there to tell folks what steps to take," said Marian Merritt, Internet safety advocate at Norton. "I hope schools are distributing information and educating (families), but ultimately, parents have a huge role to play (in the process)."

Privacy in Bulgaria ?

Privacy is of great importance for every individual and for every nation in general. Being able to protect your personal data is a human right that should not be disregarded.  In many countries the theft of private information and the public exposure of personal data are considered crimes and might have fatal consequences. There are many laws that protect the private data of the citizens of Bulgaria, such as: Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria (adopted on 13 July 1991), Convention for the Protection of Human rights and Fundamental freedoms (ratified on 31 July 1992),Personal Data Protection Act (came into force on 1st January 2002),Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regards to Automatic Processing of Personal Data (ETS No.108, ratified on 7 June 2002).

The Constitution of the republic of Bulgaria is the most important law. According to Article 32: “(1) The privacy of citizens shall be inviolable. Everyone shall be entitled to protection against any illegal interference in his private or family affairs and against encroachments on his honor, dignity and reputation.(2) No one shall be followed, photographed, filmed, recorded or subjected to any other similar activity without his knowledge or despite his express disapproval, except when such actions are permitted by law.” The Constitution addresses directly the media. The other important document that protects personal information is the Personal Data Protection Act. It “…regulates the protection of natural persons with regard to processing of personal data as well as the access to such data.”

It's not about the money !

A well known truth is that money rule the world, however the most important aspect of a job should not be connected to money. Pleasure and comfort are essential aspects of a job, which bring long term satisfaction, that could not be replaced by high salaries.

First of all people should feel happy while they are working. Every individual is different. People have different interests and different capabilities when it comes to work. Most important, people should be doing a job, which gives them pleasure, in order to succeed and to be mentally and physically healthy and happy. Some people enjoy stressful jobs, others like working in quiet environment, a decision which  depends on the individual only. For example some people do not fell well at the sight of blood. Even though doctors are payed well, those people would not succeed in the medical fields and would probably have healthy or even mental problems too.

A further belief is that people should not feel uncomfortable at their job. Working conditions are of great importance, because people spend almost the whole day at their jobs and bad conditions might also have a negative effect on their health. When working in an uncomfortable environment, people might get stressed and not be able to proceed working normal, or even having a normal life. An example of a very well payed job, which is stressful is the job of the miner. Even though the salary is really high, the conditions are poor and people risk their health every day.

In conclusion, I would disagree with the statement that money are the most important aspect of a job, and I will sum up that pleasure and feeling comfortable while working are more essential aspects, that not only lead to successful career, but also to a healthy and happy life.

Consumerism ?

We live in a consumer oriented society; one based on needs and wants of consumers, but also one whose needs and wants are a reflection of the market and new product developments. The question whether consumerism is a result of marketers, or producers satisfy people’s desires is a debate that has been discussed for quite some time. In order to come as close as possible to the answer of that question, one must be familiar with the basic concepts of consumerism and new product development.

What exactly is consumerism and how does it affect society? It is an economic and social order that encourages the purchases of goods and services in greater amounts. It started in the late 17th century and emerged though the 18th century. The biggest growth by that time could be seen in industries like glass making and silk manufacturing. The aim of the time was making luxury goods affordable for as many people as possible. Later on the availability of goods was drastically changed by the Industrial revolution, creating an unusual economic situation. Through the years evolved the term “conspicuous consumerism.” It was created by   Thorstein Veblen and it explains an irrational form of economic behavior among people: “It is true of dress in even a higher degree than of most other items of consumption, that people will undergo a very considerable degree of privation in the comforts or the necessaries of life in order to afford what is considered a decent amount of wasteful consumption; so that it is by no means an uncommon occurrence, in an inclement climate, for people to go ill clad in order to appear well dressed.” The core concept of 21st century commercialism is emulation. It is a general trend regular consumer to seek emulation to those who are above them in the social hierarchy. The poor strive to imitate the wealthy and the wealthy on the other hand look up to celebrities and other icons. This purchasing behavior may co-exist in the mind of a consumer with an image of oneself as being an individualist. This is a trend that is growing even faster with every new generation. Since the beginning of consumerism many people have seeked for alternative lifestyle. It is a wide range that starts from "simple living", goes through "eco-conscious shopping" and "localvore"/"buying local", and ends with the extreme Freeganism. Many critics define consumerism as the tendency of people to identify themselves with specific luxury products and brands that will define their social and individual status. This could lead to such extends that consumers might sacrifice time, income and energy  not only to purchase but also to actively support a certain firm or brand.

Online social reality

We live in an era where information has been supplanted
by connections as the leading most crucial way to bring yourself higher in thescale of success. After all-"It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.“So may be this is one of the reasons our society has come to a point wherefriendship is only virtual and people -only means to an end. Network of coarsehas provided us with the amazing opportunity to make our big world a smallerone thus being even more closely knit together by all the lies and pretence we have guarded ourselves with ,ironically, only to seem more affable and approachable .What is more it has been proven that people tend not to act as themselves when connecting on line, though may be not such a surprising ,ironically, only to seem more affable and approachable .What is more it hasbeen proven that people tend not to act as themselves when connecting on line, though may be not such a surprising discovery why pretend -only for the business opportunity -probably not .In the cyber world not only are we given the chance to make new acquaintances ,the so called followers,-probably not .In the cyber world not only are we given the chance to make newacquaintances ,the so called followers, but we can also recreate ourselves all over again, omitting all those foibles we have omitting all those foibles we have hated about us while at the same time elevating those qualities ,praising those actions we are so proud of we would share with the whole world to see .So we do it and eventually we start to think "I am so much better than all my Facebook friends. Look at them neither are there any achievements ,nor likes on their wall". You do it ,yet not to share all your fortunes and misfortunes with  not to share all your fortunes and misfortunes with  the closest friends -or in this case only your achievements - but to boost your self-confidence .Yes you may have 2000 likes on a
likes on a picture or 400 likes on a post ,you may have even 30 000 0000 friends or followers nevertheless what does that mean- you are all strangers trying to compete against each other in a popularity contest in which you are your own judges and there are no rules ,making it impossible for you to win ,but only to crave for more and more followers ,thus leading to even more likes and no complete satisfaction. And your so called strong ties, or close friends, are the root of your self-esteem inflation and determine how you act on line. In the end, they are who you want to impress, why you keep up with digital appearances and what you ultimately base your online identity on. And unfortunately this could lead only to one thing-spending considerable time building large networks of shallow connections, grotesquely at the expense of loosing the only few cherished friendships upon which you can truly rely. And what might be even worse is that we don't even you to win ,but only to crave for more and more followers ,thus leading to evenmore likes and no complete satisfaction. Ambulances in Bulgaria

You are currently in Bulgaria? God forbid you have an accident and you need medical help. If you call an ambulance, the first thing you will be asked is how do you feel. If they decide that you are not sick or injured enough, you will not get any medical support. However, if they please to come at all, they will be waiting for a long time and let’s hope you make it till they come. You have no other choice.

I have heard so many people around me complain of the bad service the ambulances provide in Bulgaria. People have been waiting for hours till the car shows up and I don’t even want to imagine the pain and sufferings they have been going through. There was an accident in a high school in Plovdiv. A teacher had a heart attack and the ambulance didn't show up on time. The hospital is on the other side of the boulevard, right across the school.

The only time I had to call an ambulance was when I was in New Jersey and my friend fall from his bike. He thought he broke his ribs. We did not have a hospital in the city, so the ambulance came from a nearby city. Furthermore, there was a flood, since there was a storm. It took the car 15 minutes to get to us. Here is what has been happening in Bulgaria meanwhile, while people are dying.

Having a smartphone = living in a different world!

For quite some time I was resistant to technology. My boyfriend still defines me as such, when I don’t want to upgrade the operating system on my tablet and I get mad at him when he does it for me. Once I feel comfortable with something it is too much work for me to change it, even when it comes to upgrading.
However, to my biggest despair, I broke my phone and I had to buy a new one. I have never had internet on my phone and I never felt bad about it. However, I thought it is about time to keep up with the trends and got a smartphone. Little did I know at that time…

So there it was my new smartphone. It looked huge and so uncomfortable to use, I couldn’t even put it in my pocket, but it looked fancy and cool. I was caring it around without actually using it for some time, but then everything changed!

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Viber, What’s app, Trello, 9gag, We heart it. Hay day, Panda Jam, Candy crush…. These are some of the apps I am hooked up on right now. This morning I woke up and I spend an hour browsing through them. I used to hate it when people suddenly took out their phones and ignored the others right in the middle of a real life hang out, consumed in their own digital worlds, now however, I catch myself turning into one of them!  It’s a whole new world that we need to explore, however we have to be careful and not forget that real life still exist and real life is fun and cool too!
